Can You Lend Us An Assist?

It's been about 6 years of running CWOSSABasketball.com, and it's time for some changes -- in a positive way. With some additional time to dedicate to the site this year, there's a few things I'm looking at accomplishing and improving during the 2015-16 season. Of course, considering the expenses associated with the following, I'll need your help along the way:

#CWOSSARoadTrip: Stretching from Delhi through to Wiarton, my goal for this season is to visit EVERY CWOSSA school that fields a basketball team (keeping in mind there's 60 or so!) for at least one game during the 2015-16 (girls or boys) season. Along with reporting on the game that I see that day, I also hope to include additional features or information about a student, the school itself, or the surrounding area (not necessarily basketball related). Some of the funds raised will be used to offset the expenses associated with this massive project.

OFSAA Coverage: Helping to defray the cost of attending the OFSAA championships (boys and girls) in Windsor this coming year, and reporting on things from a CWOSSA-specific perspective.

Photos/Videos/Highlights: Hiring an individual (and/or company) to provide game highlight videos that will be posted on the website. My goal is to start with major games (championships, etc.) and have highlights of other games if funding allows.

Website Improvements: Although the blogger platform is functional, I would like to switch to a more professional look. Any funds left over after the first several items will be put towards this purpose.

Whether you can spare $2, $5, or $25, any donation is appreciated to help continue the promotion of CWOSSA Student Athletes. Please take a look at the Indiegogo Crowdfunding link for CWOSSABasketball.com here, and thanks in advance for your support!

cwossabasketball.com's "Players of The Week"

Based on Friday November 26th - Thursday, December 2nd.

Senior Boys

Simic got off to a great start for the week last Friday by pouring in 47 points in a 95-38 demolition of St. Thomas Aquinas at the CHCI tournament.  He would later help guide the short-handed Gaels to the tournament championship over Guelph Centennial.

Over the past couple of days, this grade 11 rookie guard has been a key reason as to why CHCI is off to a 2-0 start in league play --- he poured in 24 points last night against a tough Southwood squad.

Junior Boys

The GPSS Panthers are off to their best start in some time, and Davidson is a big reason why.

He averaged 23.5 PPG during GPSS' two league games this past week, scoring 24 in a huge win over Grand River and following that up yesterday with a 23 point outing against another "upper echelon" squad, the SJAM Highlanders.

With their big wins, Glenview Park has opened the year ranked #1 among "AAA" junior schools.

for the timmy rose memorial tournament Bishop Mac beat Eastwood 70 - 37 Jesse kendall had 16 points for bishop mac and for eastwood Sayyad Yeganehnia had 10 points

  3. @anon one (comment deleted) - I didn't say Nem was THE key reason, I said he was A key reason as to why they beat Southwood.

As we're all aware, it takes more than one player to win games.
